Stress is currently high with everything that is happening in this country and around the world; the stress level of the average person is dramatically higher than in the past. Stress unmanaged can be extremely detrimental to our health, our relationships and even our job productivity. As you all know, there aren’t many things that can reduce stress better than a great Martial Arts class. How many of you have come to the dojo stressed from activities of the day and then left with a completely different mindset? Remember, the next time you or your child consider skipping class, don’t forget how good it feels to train, and always anchor in the good feeling you or your child has when leaving. That memory will make it easier to stay in the routine.
“Stay-cation”- We know many families are curbing their travel plans this summer and the rest of the year. Think of your or your child’s Martial Arts training as a two or three times a week getaway without leaving town.
Obesity- Martial Arts is a fitness with a purpose. As you know, there are few physical activities that offer the benefits of a Karate class. Fitness, stress relief, flexibility, self defense, and a social environment…
Human interaction counter balances technology. In the days of working at home, 500 cable channels, Myspace and Facebook, many modern Americans need more live social interaction. Not only do you get that here at the dojo, but you find yourself surrounded by positive, high quality, encouraging people (instructors and co-students alike) that help bring out your best and keep you focused on the prize…a better you.
